Did you know about WhatsApp for IOS improving status functionality for Business accounts? The recently launched Version 184.108.40.206, which was initially out for beta testing, allows users to view status updates of certain business accounts on WhatsApp, according to WABetainfo.
It further said that the WhatsApp update allows “viewing status updates directly within Business info. After tapping the profile photo, you can choose between viewing it or the status update.” However, personal account users will currently continue working with the same interface for status updates.
WABetaInfo explains that these changes are just valid for business accounts. It does not allow users to access their contacts’ info via their personal accounts.
A few years ago, WhatsApp also launched its now very popular status feature. It works similar to Instagram stories which of course, Instagram replicated from Snapchat. Later in 2017, Meta, then Facebook, heavily unrolled this feature on all its platforms.
With this feature, the company has linked Instagram and Facebook so that users can merge both accounts for convenience. Now they have to post just one time and it will appear on both accounts simultaneously. For instance, if you upload a series of pictures with a caption on Instagram stories, you will get an option to share it exactly as it is on Facebook.
Apart from that, With the new business account feature that the company launched a few days ago, it was working on the PiP view.
According to WABetaInfo, the 220.127.116.11 version has brought a unique interface for picture-in-picture (PiP) video production with a new control bar. The website says, “it allows moving the picture-in-picture view easily, and it also implements some shortcuts, like the possibility to end the video and to show it in full-screen mode.”
Moreover, the company has launched another feature for WhatsApp business users that enables the users to create ads for their Facebook account via WhatsApp account.
“Thanks to this feature, businesses can reach new customers by advertising on Facebook, because the ad lets people on Facebook know they also operate on WhatsApp,” says a post on WABetainfo.com
After witnessing the WhatsApp upgrades for business accounts, we can expect some notable changes to arrive for WhatsApp personal accounts in the future as well.
